:: IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE :: |

Target IIT will be conducted for 8th, 9th & 10th Standard students at their schools simultaneously on Thursday, 16th October 2008. |
|
Each class will have a separate Test based on the 50% syllabus of each class i.e. 8th, 9th and 10th. |
|
Question papers will be based on the latest pattern of IIT-JEE comprising of ICSE, CBSE & SSC syllabi with 25% additional depth included for each class. |
|

Question papers are being set by Senior Lecturers with vast real time experience in guiding students achieve excellence in IIT-JEE under guidance of JP's Team of Experts. |

Question papers for each subject will come in four distinct series, totally sealed to be opened by students at the examination hall as in the case of IIT-JEE. |
|
Test results will be declared within 10-15 days and will be broadcast by TV9. |
|
Individual result analysis will be despatched to respective schools. |
|
Cash Awards of Rs. 20,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- & Rs. 10,000/- along with Merit Certificate will be presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Rank holders respectively in each Test. All school toppers in each test will be presented with JP's IIT Foundation Material. |
|
Open Centres will be established for those students whose schools do not participate in the test. |
:: TEST PATTERN ::
Details of Question Paper Format and Marks for Each Class i.e. 8th,9th and 10th
|
The Question paper of each class will comprise of 3 parts i.e. Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Each subject will have maximum 81 marks or 243 marks in total. Each subject will have 4 sections as detailed below :

SECTION-I |
Will contain 9 multiple choice questions which have only one correct answer. Each question carries +3 Marks for correct answer and -1 Mark for wrong answer. |

SECTION-II |
Will contain 4 questions of Reason and Assertion variety i.e. each question containing STATEMENT-1 (Assertion) and STATEMENT-2 (Reason).
Option(A): will be correct if both the statements are TRUE and STATEMENT-2 is the correct explanation of STATEMENT-1.
Option(B): will be correct if both the statements are TRUE but STATEMENT-2 is NOT the correct explanatin of STATEMENT-1.
Option(C): will be correct if STATEMENT-1 is TRUE and STATEMENT-2 is FALSE
Option(D): will be correct if STATEMENT-1 is FALSE and STATEMENT-2 TRUE.
Each question will carry +3 marks for correct answer and -1 mark for wrong answer.

SECTION-III |
Will contain 2 paragraphs. Based upon each paragraph, 3 multiple choice questions have to be answered. Each Question will have only one correct answer and carries +4 Marks for correct answer and -1 Mark for wrong answer. |

SECTION-IV |
Will contain 3 questions. Each question containing statements given in column1 and column2.Statements in the 1st column have to be matched with statements in the 2nd column and each question carries +6 Marks. Marks will awarded only if all the four parts are correctly matched. No marks will be given for any wrong match in any question. There is no negative marking in this section. |
